The conservation unit of this Amazonian region has a beautiful history of struggle to protect the area and create the reserve. The audio-visual documentation of this history is essential for the preservation of this area for the well-being of the local communities. It is fundamental for the reserve’s communications that we record the story told through the testament and speech of those that fought to conquer the area; so it can be captured for future generations. Telling the story of the positive changes implemented with the establishment of the reserve, can also aid future fundraising endeavors.

  • Capture images of the local communities and villages within the reserve.

The volunteers tend to cook their own food. Alternatively you can eat with locals at a cost of around $10 per meal.

The region has two seasons: Dry season July- October with high temperatures during the day and cool during night and early mornings. The dray season can have days with low temperature due to polar weather fronts coming from the South.

It is important to have insect repellent sun cream. Cloths should be of light materials preferably that can dry quickly. For field work you should bring long sleeves, long trousers and boots. You may use short and shirts as bathing suits during recreation activities, however bathing suits should be worn with t-shirts due to local costumns.

During your free time in the village, you can ride bicycle, go trekking, fishing or accompany the local settlers in their daily work and or recreational activities.
